You will need to have finished high school to become a certified nursing assistant and you will also need to complete a program. These programs will usually be 6 to 12 weeks long. You will need to pay for the certified nursing assistant program, so make sure you have the funds. It will usually cost anywhere from $300-$600. More than likely there will be financial aid available. After you have gone through all your training, you can then start applying for jobs. There are many different places and opportunities to apply. Send your resume to home health agencies. Certified nursing assistants will generally work for these agencies. They can also work in hospitals and nursing homes.

Being a certified nursing assistant is a great career opportunity that has so many benefits and will teach you many life lessons that will help you throughout your life. It also requires very little time and money to get started in the field.
